Vesta members row from our boathouse on the Putney Embankment: the club owns boats of all sizes and the boathouse is fully equipped with a new gym, lots of ergs and racking space for members' singles. (Please note: There is a not a massive waiting list for racking space, but it is for members only and we do operate a one-out, one-in policy and we are currently full. Talk to the Captain if you have any questions.)
The latest club news is published on the front page and archived on the news page.
There is more information about rowing at Vesta, including how the squads are structured and who to talk to about rowing with us.

The Vesta Bar
The Vesta Bar is, in our completely unbiased opinion, the friendliest bar on the Tideway! It's the best place to come and meet us all and find out what we're like. There's the usual dissection of outings and races as well as the chance to benefit from the wealth of wisdom embodied in the 'Senior' members in the corner!
We keep some of the best London Pride in the area and you can rest assured that you'll be helping to drink your way to a new boat or some other such asset for the club. The bar has in recent years bought a coxed four along with paying entirely for our recently finished gym.
Many an evening ends up as an impromptu 'Vesta Bar Night' with drinking sometimes fuelling our ability to sing! Our busier nights tend to be Wednesday and Thursday, when there's usually a sizeable crowd in. Weekend afternoons can be happily whiled away on the balcony or in the bar, enjoying good company and the occasional rowing coverage/rugby match on the television.
Approximate Opening Times
- Monday to Thursday from around 7.30pm
- Friday - CLOSED
- Saturday and Sunday from around 10.00am
Can there be any finer place to survey the Tideway than from our balcony with a pint from our (in)famous bar?
We look forward to seeing you there!
